Box Score Monmouth put both of their shots on goal, but came up short in a battle of Scots Sunday afternoon.
 
Alma – also named the Scots – scored two quick goals to start before Monmouth could rebound. Trailing 3-0, Darice Brooks powered in her second goal of the season, taking a pass from Natalie Wolski to cut the margin to 3-1 in the 20^th minute.
 
The defenses took over for the remainder of the first half before Alma erupted in the second half.
 
Monmouth will host Elmhurst Wednesday in a 5 p.m. matchup at Peacock Memorial Athletic Park.
