Box Score Monmouth put nearly 70 percent of their shots on goal, but couldn't slip any past Millikin's keeper in a 2-0 loss under the lights Thursday night.
 
The Scots' Nicole Neagle turned aside four of the shots she faced, but the Big Blue found the back of the net once in each half. The Big Blue took the lead in the 28^th minute on a counterattack and added an insurance tally early in the second half.
 
Darice Brooks led Monmouth's offense, putting both of her shots on target, but was turned aside by Millikin's  Anna Benvenuto who equaled Neagle's four saves.
 
Now at 1-1 on the season, Monmouth will host Alma College Sunday morning for their home opener.
