Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Fighting Scots couldn't muster much offense or defense Wednesday in a 10-0, 9-1 doubleheader loss to No. 7 Illinois Wesleyan.

Monmouth's bats were silent in  the opener as the Scots were blanked for jsut the second time this season. Two errors in the first two innings led to six runs, a hole the Scots were not able to dig themselves out of.

The Scots got on the board in the second game after IWU put up a tally on the first of four Monmouth errors in the game. Hanna Drowns stroked a one-out double in the second inning and then raced home on Morgan Throop's two-out hit. The Titans answered in the bottom of the inning, plating four runs, hittting their first of two homeruns in the game. Leading 7-1, IWU plated two unearned runs in the fifth to end the game.
