Box Score With an outside shot at reaching the Midwest Conference tournament on the line, the women of Fighting Scots soccer did their part and came up with the victory in double overtime.
It would take 108 minutes before a ball would find the back of the net and luckily for the Scots the score would come from the foot of
Andrea Correa. The game winning goal came unassisted as Correa's only shot of the game rolled past the keeper.
Fighting Scots keeper,
Nicole Neagle totaled eight saves as the Vikings offense came up short on 16 total shots.
With the win, the Fighting Scots moved to 5-5-0 in conference play, 6-12-0 overall and kept them in contention for the final berth in next week's Midwest Conference Championships. Monmouth's hopes were dashed later in the afternoon when Knox claimed the final berth with a win over Cornell.
