Box Score A goal early in the second half sent Monmouth to a 2-1 win over rival Knox on a blustery day at Peacock Memorial Athletic Park.
 
The Scots ran their win streak in the series to 13 games, but it was anything but easy. The Scots put eight of their 10 shots on goal, breaking the ice on Darice Brook's unassisted goal in the 25^th minute.
 
Knox battled back, knotting the score when Sarah Texter took a pass from Jacqui Tousley to log the long Fire tally.
 
Tied at 1-1 entering the second half, Andrea Correa picked the Fire's pocket and beat their keeper on a one-on-one to give Monmouth the game winner in the 49^th minute.
 
The Scots' defense limited Knox to just three second half shots, two on goal, to preserve the win.
 
Monmouth will host Illinois College Wednesday afternoon in the home season finale at Peacock.
