Box Score The Scots couldn't manage the big hit in a 3-1 loss to St. Norbert in the Midwest Conference Championships elimination game Saturday in Lake Forest.

For the second game in a row, the Green Knights jumped on top with a first inning homer. They added insurance runs in the second and third innings before the Scots were able to break through with a solo run in the seventh. Maggie Hayes broke the ice for the Scots wih an RBI single, scoring Cailtin Lingle who went 3-for4 in the game.

Monmouth had threatend in every inning, leaving the bases loaded in the second and seventh innings, stranding 14 total despite outhitting the Knights 13-5. Five Scots errors combined to end Monmouth's season with a 21-16 record, just one win off the program record for wins.
