Box Score Monmouth came back from five runs down with two innings to go in a 7-6 win over Lawrence, staving off elimination from the Midwest Conference Championships.

Taylor Smith came from the bullpen to blank Lawrence over the final 3.1 innings allowing just two base runners. She sat the Vikings down in order over the last two innings as Charlotte Park's record-setting homerun in the sixth pulled the Scots to within two at 6-4. Park blasted her ninth HR this season, breaking the old single season mark.

Monmouth came up with three straight hits in the seventh to complete the comeback. After Kelsey Barnes scored on an outfield error to make it 6-5, Emily Watkins drove in Sommer Foster with her second hit of the game, knotting the score at 6-6. Caitlin Lingle then brought the winniing run across with a sac fly to plate Kirstyn Ozga.

The Scots will face St. Norbert Saturday morning at 10 in an elimination game. The Green Knights clipped the Scots in the tourney opener 1-0 before falling to host Lake Forest 4-1.
