Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Monmouth hit their stride and the ball at Saturday's Midwest Conference Classic, shutting out Carroll 4-0 and rolling Lawrence 11-1.

Skyler Johnson went the distance in the complete game shutout of Carroll in the day's opening game. The junior scattered four hits and faced five over the minimum in earning her fifth win of the season. Sommer Foster reached base three times and scored three times, the last coming with the aid of an Emily Watkins homer. 

Watkins drove in four in the late win over Lawrence and Foster came up a homer short of hitting for the cycle as the Scots banged out 14 hits in the game. Alyssa Edler came from the bullpen to allow just one hit as the Scots errupted for five runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth. 

The Scots wrap up the Classic with Sunday games against Beloit and RIpon.
