Box Score Kristen Dillon led off the 5th to break up a no-hit big and spark the Scots to a 10-3 come-from-behind win over St. Norbert in the Midwest Classic held at the Eastside Center in Peoria.

St. Norbert had taken a 3-0 lead in the top of the fifth by banging out three straight extra base hits. After the Green Knights scored their final run on a wild pitch, starter Alyssa Edler induced a ground out and then fanned the final batter to end the Knight threat.

Dillon's base hit to lead off the bottom of the frame started a string of four straight hits as the Scots took advantage of timely hitting and a St. Norbert error to plate seven runs while batting around, allowing Charlotte Park to pick up two hits in the inning to give Monmouth a 7-3 lead.

Kelsey Barnes opened the sixth with a leadoff single and later scored the first of three Monmouth runs in the inning to give Edler plenty of cushion in the circle. Edler scattered five hits and struck out three over seven innings.
