A five-goal second quarter powered the Scots' women's water polo team to their first win in the fledgling history of the program, downing Penn State-Behrend 9-7.

Tied 1-1 after the first period, Monmouth got three goals from Cassidy O'Connell on her way to a gmae-high six scores to power Monmouth into the lead.

The Scots held a 6-3 lead at the intermission, but had to hold off a PSB rally in the fourth quarter. PSB scored the last three goals of the match to cut Monmouth's 9-4 fourth quarter lead down to just two as time expired.
