Freshman Erin Kennelly earned her second win in as many starts, striking out seven in five innings of work against Becker. The Scots put five on the boards in the second inning as Kaitlyn Winkler blasted her third home run on the Florida trip. Morgan Martindale added a two run shot in the inning as the Scots rolled to the win.

Hood scored four unearned runs in the day's second game as the Scots slipped to 7-2 on the season. Emily Watkins hit her first round tripper of the season in the first inning, driving in two for a quick 3-0 Scots lead. Hood countered in the second inning with four runs on three hits and a pair of Monmouth errors.
