Backed by a 10-run third inning, winning pitcher Alyssa Edler gave up just one hit and one run in her first outing of the year. Monmouth banged out a dozen hits in the game including five in the breakout inning. Cailtin Lingle's two-run base hit ignited the third inning barrage.



Morgan Martindale and Sommer Foster scored three times each in the nightcap to back the collegiate debut of freshman pitcher Erin Kennelly. The Scots scored three first inning runs for the only talleys Kennelly would need as she went the distance striking out four and surrendering three hits.
