Monmouth's men's water polo team made history twice Saturday afternoon.
 
The Fighting Scots not only hosted their first varsity water polo match in school history, the team also won in their own pool on the first try. Monmouth came back from a 5-0 first quarter deficit to defeat Salem International 14-13 on Julius Bradsfield's goal with seven seconds left.
 
A five-goal outburst in the second quarter pulled the Scot to within one at 6-5. Monmouth then pulled even on John Fizgerald's goal in the first minute of the third quarter. The teams traded goals the rest of the way until Bradsfield's score gave Monmouth the Homecoming win.
