Women's Soccer title hopes go down in DePere

Box Score Two quick goals by St. Norbert dashed the Monmouth women's soccer team's hopes for an MWC Tournament title Saturday night in DePere, Wis.

After a scoreless first half, the Green Knights scored a pair of goals in 60 seconds to put the Scots in a hole. The scores in the 64th minute were the only balls that found the net in the defensive struggle and gave St. Norbert the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.

The Scots ended the season with a school-record 12 wins and set the defensive record for fewest goals allowed in a season. The 20 goals allowed was one better than the record set in 2006, despite playiing three more games.
