A record-setting weekend for Monmouth College's women's water polo team has earned Cassidy O'Connell (Chicago, Ill./Lane Tech), Natalie Curtis (Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey) and Becca Dabrowski (McHenry, Ill./West) more honors from the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) as the Fighting Scots continued to add to their victory total in their winningest season in program history.

      O'Connell was named the CWPA Player of the Week after pumping in 23 goals in five games last weekend, pushing her single season goal-scoring record to 79 with one weekend left. Monmouth's all-time leading scorer scored seven of the Scots' eight goals in the weekend's finale, a 9-8 loss to Grove City. The senior leads the Scots' scoring, averaging more than five goals per game.

      A biopsychology major, O'Connell is the daughter of Sharon O'Connell and Robert O'Connell.

      Curtis was stellar in goal to earn Defensive Player of the Week honor roll status. The sophomore averaged more than 15 saves per game and allowed just 8.6 goals per contest.

      An art major, Curtis is the daughter of Peter and Annette Curtis.

      Dabrowski was awarded honor roll status as Rookie of the Week after becoming Monmouth's second-leading scorer last weekend. The freshman scored 10 times last weekend, including two critical goals in the Scots' 7-6 win over Penn State-Behrend and netting three in an 11-4 win over Utica. Dabrowski is averaging nearly two goals per game in her rookie campaign.

      A psychology major, Dabrowski is the daughter of William and Gretchen Dabrowski.

      The Scots will travel to New London, Conn., next weekend for the CWPA West Championships.
