Galesburg Native Luke Bradburn to Direct Monmouth College Intramurals Program

Central Illinois native Luke Bradburn has been named Monmouth College director of intramurals. A graduate of Galesburg High School and Olivet Nazarene University, Bradburn brings a variety of experience to Monmouth's campus and will oversee all intramurals.

With the return of organized intramurals, Monmouth students will be able to participate in a variety of sports, events and activities as part of their cocurriculuar experience. Students will be able to find events that fit their skill level and also have the opportunity to learn new skills and sports.

Activities Bradburn plans to offer during the 2023-24 school year include volleyball, flag football, basketball, bags/cornhole, pingpong and card games. Activities will be offered in various formats – some events will take place over a semester while others will be single-day tournaments or sessions.

Before coming to Monmouth, Bradburn had an impressive internship last summer with Ballparks National in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, where he worked as a tournament director, guest services representative and emcee while supervising park facilities and assisting with tournament scheduling.

As a guest services employee at the Discovery Depot Children's Museum in Galesburg, Bradburn facilitated the children's programs, sold and managed museum memberships, oversaw remote learning classrooms and worked on the special events staff.

A native of Galesburg, Illinois, Bradburn is an Eagle Scout. He holds a sport management degree from Olivet Nazarene.
