Few Monmouth receivers have matched the productivity of Terry Schneider. He rewrote the school’s record book during his four-year career, and three of his personal bests were still school records at the time of his Hall of Fame induction: most receptions for a season (51), most receptions for a game (12) and most receiving yards for a season (719).
Schneider didn’t just make catches; he made them in clutch situations. During his junior year he had 11 receptions against Cornell, and his two touchdown catches against Ripon carried the Scots to a 14-7 upset win. As a senior in 1968, he caught three touchdowns in the Homecoming win over Grinnell and his 12 receptions were almost enough to upset Ripon a second time in the game that ultimately decided the conference championship.
Schneider was named all-conference his junior and senior years and all-state his senior year.
