Tanesha Hughes was a woman for all seasons. Competing in the vastly different sports of volleyball, basketball, and track and field, Hughes earned All-Midwest Conference honors in each.
That all-around success led to Hughes receiving the MWC's Woman of the Year honor in 2009. She went on to be a semifinalist for the NCAA's Division III Woman of the Year.
Her highest Fighting Scots achievements came in the spring, when she earned All-American honors in the discus, placing fourth at the 2009 NCAA meet. At 164'6, she held the school discus record at the time of her induction. As a junior, Hughes won three throwing events at the MWC outdoor meet, earning one of her three Most Outstanding Performer honors.
In basketball, Hughes was a double-double machine her senior year, leading the MWC with averages of 16.3 points and 10.2 rebounds.
Her .249 career hitting percentage in volleyball ranks sixth on the Scots' all-time list.
